Zaporozhye Evangelical Mennonite Church (ZEMC) is a small fellowship of believers in the city of Zaporozhye, very close to the former Mennonite colony of Chortitza. Because of an ongoing economic crisis, and its proximity to the current civil war in eastern Ukraine, many in this region struggle to maintain family life and adequate income. The Zaporozhye congregation provides a place for worship, fellowship and support, particularly for women members of the community, in a region of many challenges.
